For sale is this nice 1970’s Solido Chaparral 2F Vintage Diecast Racing Car. This racing legend bares the number “4†insignia & was manufactured in France for distribution in the U.S. by Marx.

The Solido Chaparral 2F Vintage Diecast Car Collection No.169 is painted in a classic off-white color depicting the Chaparral 2F vehicle made by Solido in the 1960's. Crafted from diecast material, this clean model is a piece of nostalgia from the past, perfect for adding to any vintage car collection.
This legendary toy vehicle features the iconic Chaparral brand (my favorite toy car as a kid). Built with the intention to compete in the , it competed in the & was the first race car to incorporate modern aerodynamics design features. This reproduction toy is meticulously crafted with attention to both design accuracy & detail. The bottom of the car is marked “solido, Made in France, Chaparral 2F, No. 169, 1/43 5/68.â€
This toy is in very good condition but is missing the rear spoiler & windshield wiper. Both the gull wing doors open & close normally. All four tires are straight & the car rolls easily. The rear suspension moves the rear spoiler up when pressed down. The car is nicely detailed & shows very little wear considering its age. There are no visible scratches, dents, or repairs, but only a tiny amount of paint loss along the top rear edge & bottom of the front nose scoop. Please see the photos for an accurate representation of the overall condition of this item.
Can It Be Repaired? – I am including the rear spoiler but do not have the three rear wing strut bars that attached it to the car & allowed it tilt up & down with the rear suspension (genius). I suspect someone handy with a soldering iron can reattach it (perhaps using three finishing nails painted white) to bring it back to racing form.
