This Mercedes-BenzW196R Streamliner was manufactured by CMC GmbH of Germany. It is a highly detailed diecast model of thecar raced in 1954 and 1955 in Formula 1 competition. Because Formula 1 was generally anopen-wheeled series, the streamlined bodywork of the W196R was highly unusual,and very successful. With this car JuanManuel Fangio won the World Championship in both 1954 and 1955.
As the photographsdetail, this model includes a dust cloth, an instruction sheet, a smallbrochure, and a series number card. Thisexample has series number 0646.

The model hasbeen on display as part of my collection for a little over two years and is inexcellent condition. I have not removedthe body. Pictures are available forthis model in other listings on eBay.
I purchasedthis car through eBay. The box arrived showingminor wear. The condition of the box is clearlyshown in the photographs.
