Offered here by Spark Minimax (S2703)) is an icon of pre-war French coachbuilding, the 1937 Delage D8-120 styled by Portout. This Delage Coupe was the darling of the Concours d' Elegance set in the late 30's. It's tapered tail the signature of the Portout style. The model is a resin cast model by Spark Minimax who are more known for their race cars, but they also at times offer excellent models of significant classic street cars. It features the detail and quality that Spark is known for right down to the photo-etched windshield wipers. It makes for an impressive model that comes very close to the presence of an Ilario, Chromes or EMC model for less than a third the price. If you collect 1/43rd scale classic cars here's your chance.
